Akashr (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Akashr application and website at akashr.com. We are the data controller responsible for your personal information. For all privacy inquiries contact contact@akashr.com.
We collect the following categories of personal information:
Free-text conversations may contain information you choose to share about health, religion, sexuality, relationships, beliefs, or other sensitive matters. Do not submit government identifiers, payment-card details, or information you do not want processed as described in this policy.
We use your information to:
Akashr is operated from Australia and complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We also comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the EEA or UK, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) for California residents.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under GDPR:
You may manually add a custom person by entering a name or label and their birth data (date, time, and place of birth). Akashr uses that information to calculate birth-chart and relationship data and, when you request a supported reading or conversation, may send relevant source data and derived birth-chart or relationship context to the Gemini API to generate the result. Adding a custom person does not create an Akashr account for them or give them access to your account. Their information is visible only to you unless a specific sharing or connection flow clearly tells you otherwise.
You can delete a custom person and their account-linked birth data at any time, subject to the retention exceptions below. Because you provide this information, you are responsible for having a proper basis to enter and use it, and for removing it if that basis ends. A person may email contact@akashr.com to request removal of information entered about them.
We do not sell your personal information. The categories of recipients include:
Your data may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where our infrastructure providers operate. For users in the EEA or UK, transfers to the US are made under Google’s Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. By using the service you acknowledge these transfers.
We retain account, birth, reading, and conversation data while your account is active so you can use history, search, memory, and export features. You may delete individual conversations and optional memory from the app. Account deletion starts deletion of account-linked conversations, readings, memory, relationships, and search records; limited billing, fraud-prevention, security, legal-hold, and backup records may remain for the period required for those purposes. Accounts inactive for more than 24 consecutive months may be deleted after prior notice. Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months and support communications for up to 3 years.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@akashr.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA and CPRA:
To submit a CCPA request, email contact@akashr.com with “CCPA Request” in the subject line.

To generate readings, conversations, summaries, and routing or safety classifications, Akashr sends the relevant request and context to Google Gemini. Google’s treatment of prompts and responses depends on the applicable service tier and terms for Akashr’s production project. Those terms may allow logging, limited retention, human review, or product improvement unless stricter contractual protections apply. Google may also retain or process this data for abuse detection, legal, or regulatory purposes, including in countries where Google or its agents operate. Akashr separately stores the conversation and generated result as described under Data retention. Review the Gemini API terms and retention documentation.
Akashr uses automated systems to classify conversational intent and identify some crisis, self-harm, abuse, danger, medical, legal, or financial contexts. These systems may change the response, suppress follow-up suggestions, or interrupt a feature. They can miss or misclassify content and are not a substitute for human review or professional care.
Conversations and support channels are not continuously monitored by people. Requests for emergency help are not automatically forwarded to emergency services. Akashr cannot locate you, call emergency services, or perform welfare checks. Authorised personnel may access limited account or conversation information when necessary for a support request, security investigation, legal obligation, or properly authorised safety review, with access controls and audit requirements.
If you turn on memory, Akashr uses automated processing to keep a short, private summary of recurring themes and patterns from the messages you send in chat, so guidance grows more personal over time. We use it only to tailor the tone and relevance of your guidance; we do not use it to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we never share it. It is processed by our AI provider (Google, via the Gemini API) as part of generating your responses. Memory is optional and off until you enable it. Turning memory off stops future capture and erases the stored memory summary and relationship-memory threads. You can view, turn off, or separately clear it in Settings. Deleting your account also removes account-linked memory subject to the retention exceptions above.
Akashr is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly provide the service to children or teenagers. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately at contact@akashr.com and we will promptly investigate and delete such data.
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and using established cloud infrastructure providers. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the website or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
For privacy questions, requests to exercise your rights, or data-related complaints, contact us at contact@akashr.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK and are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
